The weather in Alaska varies depending on the destination and the time of year.  Depending on the specific location, the months with the least rain are May, June and July.  The month with the most rain is September.  If you are visiting Alaska in July you should know that it is the warmest month, where May and September are the coolest months.  When dealing with weather in Alaska it is always a good idea to layer your clothing because the weather can be very unpredictable.  One day it might be cold and the next day it could be quite warm.

Even though Alaska is known for being cold and icy, in the summer it warms up nicely.  However it is still never a bad idea to bring along a jacket for when the sun starts to go down as temperatures will sometimes drop substantially.

When taking an Alaskan cruise most days will usually be comfortable, and the cruise ship will visit places with lots of ice and you will maybe even take a tour that gives you the opportunity to trek across a glacier, go fishing, dog sledding, etc.  This again is another reason why it would be wise to dress in layers so that you adjust to the weather accordingly.
